Interim update of the week!

I'm going to review my diet plan for the week so far, how my week went, before then on Monday announcing any weight changes, and of course a new diet plan.

I had lots of new recipes to try out this week, which meant so did my boyfriend!! He was certainly less keen than I!!

So to start.

Breakfasts, all fine as per usual, although I stuck with bran flakes all week to feel a little healthier. I like the option of toast though.

Snacks - raisins were fine. The peanut butter bites were tasty but too squidgy and too sweet. I'm going to find a different granola type snack I can make that has a good calorie tag on it, and see how it goes.

Lunches. Carrots and houmous I am still happy to add to next week. Courgette fritters were amazing and really healthy. Can't wait to add those on!!

The caprese salad in a lunchbox got too squidgy and melted so I'm not going to have that while at work.

I have to change my Saturday lunch plan now as a friend is over so that will have to keep to an evening next week.

Dinners: I liked the tomato risotto but I added chorizo as it was going to be a little plain. My partner didn't like it, so I ended up having it for three days!!

I've not tried the corn cakes yet, will look into that next week. The Thai beef curry was lovely. The lasagne with ricotta - lasagne bit was fine but the ricotta tasted like tofu when it was cooked. Not nice, so I need a new recipe.

Last night we had pizza as it was date night.

Overall, I haven't had a good week. I haven't portion controlled at all, and there is still so much christmas food around like biscuits and chocolates that we are gorging on them just to get through them.

At the pub twice I was drinking alcohol, partly because I could as my partner is on dryathlon, and sharing crisps with everyone when they were offered.

So next week, along with my diet plan, I have one target: get rid of the christmas snacks in the house !!!

Will update diet plan tomorrow, and weight on Monday.
