Updated weight after week two
I didn't lose any weight this week. This doesn't surprise me really, as evenings were difficult and I didn't portion control, etc. So this week is all about portion control!!

Week 3 Meal Plan and Review of Week Two!
Week Two was fairly straight forward - I loved the zucchini fritters, raisins and granola bar at work, and so easy and cheap to make so I'm definitely sticking with those on a very frequent basis!!!
In the evenings, we finally got rid of all the biscuits!! Target met!!! :-) :-) We mainly stuck with our meals, except for on Thursday night where we didn't have time to cook (and I forgot to defrost the meat) so I had a snack, and then when Russell had a kebab after the quiz, I just had chicken nuggets and chips, much less filling.
A couple of breakfasts I ended up having a cheese toastie instead, and Russell made me breakfast this morning which was quite a big breakfast! But I'll be skipping lunch because of that now.
All in all, most meals are going really well, and it's only when I'm really busy that it goes awry, as expected really.
I think for next week, my target should be to portion-control my evening meals. I'm really enjoying them at the moment so I eat lots! So I need to cut down and just drink more to try and fill myself up.
This is my diet plan for next week. We are away in Munich for the last 3 days so that will be the hardest, as we will be eating out all the time, and I certainly can't portion control that, but I can try and pick healthier meals from the menu.

Interim update of the week!
I'm going to review my diet plan for the week so far, how my week went, before then on Monday announcing any weight changes, and of course a new diet plan.
I had lots of new recipes to try out this week, which meant so did my boyfriend!! He was certainly less keen than I!!
So to start.
Breakfasts, all fine as per usual, although I stuck with bran flakes all week to feel a little healthier. I like the option of toast though.
Snacks - raisins were fine. The peanut butter bites were tasty but too squidgy and too sweet. I'm going to find a different granola type snack I can make that has a good calorie tag on it, and see how it goes.
Lunches. Carrots and houmous I am still happy to add to next week. Courgette fritters were amazing and really healthy. Can't wait to add those on!!
The caprese salad in a lunchbox got too squidgy and melted so I'm not going to have that while at work.
I have to change my Saturday lunch plan now as a friend is over so that will have to keep to an evening next week.
Dinners: I liked the tomato risotto but I added chorizo as it was going to be a little plain. My partner didn't like it, so I ended up having it for three days!!
I've not tried the corn cakes yet, will look into that next week. The Thai beef curry was lovely. The lasagne with ricotta - lasagne bit was fine but the ricotta tasted like tofu when it was cooked. Not nice, so I need a new recipe.
Last night we had pizza as it was date night.
Overall, I haven't had a good week. I haven't portion controlled at all, and there is still so much christmas food around like biscuits and chocolates that we are gorging on them just to get through them.
At the pub twice I was drinking alcohol, partly because I could as my partner is on dryathlon, and sharing crisps with everyone when they were offered.
So next week, along with my diet plan, I have one target: get rid of the christmas snacks in the house !!!
Will update diet plan tomorrow, and weight on Monday.

Week One: Diet Plan and Update
I've written my Diet Plan for Week One - unfortunately our oven has broken so this has taken me quite a long time, to find anything that will work without needing an oven!
I weighed in this morning at 15 stone and 2lbs, not far off what I was before Christmas. 3 stone to go!!
Here we go.

Diet Plan for the last week of the year!!
The last week of the year will not be the start of a diet! But it will be a chance for me to trial this out and see how I go. It's also quite helpful because I can 'excuse' the fact that we may go out for dinner, or have dinners with other people where I can't fix and choose my meals. I'm also trying to get rid of all the biscuits I was given for Christmas, in a more 'planned' manner!! As I've only just returned home today, I don't have the healthy snacks in my house yet to really get prepared!
So this week:

Update of the Year
I started this diet by working really hard and reflecting over what I eat. I was able to make much more informed decisions about the food I eat, and I also began to exercise, but not until Easter! So it did take me a while, but the pounds were shed very easily in the first few months.
It got a lot harder towards the end. I think this was partially as I plateaued and it was difficult to find more healthy meals, and more time for exercise. As I went back to work in September, I had less time to focus on the diet and the exercise, and I slipped back into normal routines.
By the beginning of December, I had just about shed 3 stone. Which is great and I'm thrilled, but secretly I'm still disappointed as I know I was rubbish towards the end!! And the final few weeks of December resulted in a load of weight gain. I had too many Christmas parties to attend, lots of indulgence!! But I was throroughly looking forward to Christmas, so I'm not too bothered. I think I've put on about half a stone. When I get back to my trusty weighing scales, I will provide a final accurate result.
I still want to lose another 3 stone. If I do that I will be absolutely thrilled. I aim to complete this next year.
Now that I have learned from my work this year, and of course from my failures, I now intend on making a weekly diet plan prior to the week ahead to ensure that I have the food needed in the kitchen. Then when I'm really hungry at the end of a long day, I don't have to resort to carby food.
I'm also going to buy a slow cooker so that we can prepare meals for when we know we've got busy days or late evenings so that again we stick to healthy meals.
In July we have a cruise planned, this is my week off to look forward to!! So we've also agreed there will be NO takeaways prior to the cruise.
